Cat Grooming — The full salon treatment!

When it comes to personal hygiene, cats are the epitome of cleanliness. They are naturally equipped with the implements to groom themselves: a barbed tongue with which to lick, forepaws they moisten with saliva and use as a surrogate washcloth and teeth to dig out tougher debris.

Believe it or not, adult cats may spend as much as half of their waking hours grooming themselves, their relatives and friends. For the most part, cats can take care of themselves very well, but sometimes they need a little help from you.

At Catnip Inn, Amy our Cat groomer has over 20 years experience.  Amy knows every cat is different and has different grooming needs. From simple baths to custom haircuts and everything in between. She is ready for all your Kitty’s beauty needs.

From Nose to Tail, Amy can do it ALL!

Plants that are Poisonous to Cats

Everyone loves pretty flowers, but what plants and flowers are dangerous for your cat/cats?

Click here for a list of plants and flowers that are poisonous to cats and must be avoided if there are cats in your home. Should your feline friend eat any part of a poisonous plant, call your veterinarian as soon as possible. Take the plant with you for identification.

Be careful what your Kitty snacks on!

Taking a trip? What do you do with your cat?

Making plans for your cat/cats while you are away is often one of the biggest stresses when leaving home. What are your options? Is the best idea to hire a pet sitter who will come once or twice a day? What about begging a favor from a friend or neighbor? Or should you board your cat? Boarding is often considered as the last resort, until now. Boarding no longer has to be boring or confining. Read More.
